of all the hardship we endured before we knew one another, and how if I knew it would lead to you I would gladly relive the darkness. but I remember those nights when I felt dead inside, when I felt nothing good would ever come of my suffering. I remember being distinctly alone, so numb I would stand in the rain just to feel something. cold. but I survived. and now I have met you. to think you were in the rain, too, just to feel something, breaks my heart. but now that I am so overwhelmed with happiness I cannot recall the feeling of defeat.
